Furthermore, we condemn government interference in the clinical practice of medicine. The American Urological Association presented Angela B. Smith, MD, MS, FACS, director of urologic oncology at the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and associate professor of urology in the UNC School of Medicine, with the 2022 Gold Cystoscope Award, an award presented annually to a urologist distinguished by outstanding contributions to the field of urology.

She spent over 20 years in the military and 10 years at Augusta University.
